Types of end mills and types of milling cutter
According to the types of milling tools, they can be classified into flat end mills, ball end mill cutter, arc end milling tools, chamfer end milling cutter and end mills with chip breakers. You can use different end mill types to process materials.
End mill processing material classification:
一、For end mills dedicated to stainless steel processing, you can use the Puwei BS series
二、For carbide end mills dedicated to titanium and nickel-based alloys, you can use the Puwei TS series
三、For end milling cutter dedicated to copper and aluminum materials, you can use the AL series
四、For end cutter dedicated to hard steel materials, you can use the GX and GG series. The GG series of end mills are suitable for processing various materials > 55HRC.
Classification by number of blades
2 – blade end mill features a large chip space, enables smooth chip removal, and exerts relatively small cutting force. It can process softer materials like aluminum, copper, and wood, and can also perform rough processing on harder materials such as stainless steel.
3-blade end mill: has good stability and cutting performance, while ensuring a certain chip removal capacity, high cutting efficiency, often used for processing general materials.
4-blade end mill: has a large number of blades, a large feed rate per revolution, high processing efficiency, good processing surface quality, but relatively small chip removal space, suitable for processing materials with higher hardness.

Milling cutters are tools used for cutting on the machine tool. There are many types of milling cutters, which can be classified by purpose, number of blades, tool material, and structure.
Classification by purpose: face milling cutter, end milling cutter, slot milling cutter, keyway milling cutter, and forming milling cutter.
